Materials Science Undergraduate Program

The department graduates about 15-20 bachelors in Materials Science and Engineering each year.  In addition to hands-on computer and experimental laboratories, about one-third of the students have had on-campus research experience with faculty by the time of graduation, and another one-third have had technical experience in industry through part-time jobs, internships or co-op programs in Materials Science and Engineering.  Our graduates, with their solid engineering skills, analytical minds, and training in problem-solving are a "can-do" bunch who go on to many sectors of industry, to graduate school, or to medical or law careers.
