Seventh Annual Alumni All Class Gathering, 2009Our 2009 Annual Alumni Gathering will be part of a larger celebration this year. The Institute of Technology Homecoming Celebration will be on Friday, Oct. 9 beginning at 4:30 p.m. with a picnic barbecue buffet. The location is the University Recreation Center, 1906 University Ave. S.E., Minneapolis. There will be children's activities as well as other happenings. You can watch the homecoming parade, pepfest and fireworks in the new TCF Bank Stadium. You do need to register by Oct. 1 with I.T. See attached link for more info. Memorial Celebration for Professor H. Ted DavisOn Saturday, October 17, 2009, the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science will host a memorial event for Professor H. Ted Davis celebrating the ways in which his research and administrative assignments touched the lives of many people. We anticipate that his academic family (colleagues, students, and alumni) will join with his immediate personal family in recalling his life's work in science. There will be a few presentations of a scholarly nature from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in B-75 Amundson Hall on that date. University of Minnesota Reception at AIChE MeetingPlease note that the CEMS reception at the AIChE Meeting this year will be on Tuesday, November 10th, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Washington B room at the Gaylord Hotel.
