A picture of myself with Dr. Thierry Charbonneaux in Haifa. We are both Ph.D. students of Chris Macosko, and had never met prior to the visit of Dr. Charbonneaux to Israel. He came to Israel for a few days at the invitation of the company I work for, Nilit. He recognized me because of a picture published a year ago in class notes, following my visit to the U of M in the summer of 2004. It turns out we have both worked in the area of Nylon polymers for many years.

Picture of Chris Macosko at the wedding of my daughter Sharon in Israel on the 1st December 2006. Chris came to Israel for a Plastics Society meeting, and he and his wife came straight from the airport to the wedding, and joined in the festivities. Interesting point: Sharon is a graduate of the Technion in Haifa, Israel (my alma mater for my B.Sc and M.Sc degrees). She graduated 2 years ago with a degree in Materials Engineering. This is a 4.5 years program where the students do a full B.Sc in Chemistry or Physics, plus a set of courses in Material Science. They graduate with both a B. Sc and a degree Mat. Eng
