Dr. Raúl Caretta is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering
and Materials Science at the University of Minnesota. He obtained his BS in
Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional del Sur in Bahía Blanca,
Argentina in 1974. Raúl received his PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University
of Minnesota in 1979 working with Professor Lanny Schmidt. Raúl has extensive
experience in the areas of surface chemistry and catalysis. Along with his teaching
and research into the intricacies of catalytic processes using the techniques
of surface analysis, Raúl is an active member of the American Vacuum Society
at the local and national level.
