- CEMS faculty member Samira Azarin is among the recipients of the University of Minnesota's McKnight Presidential Fellow Award. She was recommended for this award by Mostafa Kaveh, Dean of the College of Science and Engineering, based on her significant scholarly accomplishments. As an award recipient, Azarin will hold the title of McKnight Presidential Fellow for three years and receive funding to support her research and scholarly activities.
The McKnight Presidential Fellows Program honors outstanding mid-career faculty who have recently been granted tenure and promoted to the rank of associate professor at the University of Minnesota and supports their ongoing research and scholarship. Candidates are considered for these awards at the conclusion of the regular promotion and tenure review process each year. The award is made possible, in part, by a generous endowment gift from the McKnight Foundation.
