- Jacob Held and Prashant Kumar, both members of the Mkhoyan research group, won student poster awards at the Microscopy & Microanalysis 2016 meeting in Columbus, Ohio.
Held was awarded first prize in the instrumentation category for his poster, “Quantification of the Effects of Small Mistilts on Dopant Visibility in Nanocrystals.” Kumar won second prize in the physical sciences category for his poster, “Atomic Structure of Self-Pillared, Single-Unit-Cell Sn-MFI Zeolite Nanosheets.” Cash prizes were awarded for the most outstanding student posters each day of the conference, and Held and Kumar were selected as winners among a field of approximately 110 posters presented on that particular day.
