- Assistant Professor Bharat Jalan was recently honored with the 2016 Young Investigator MBE Award at the 19th International Conference on Molecular Beam Epitaxy in Montpellier, France. This prominent international distinction is bestowed biannually in recognition of significant contributions to the science and technology of Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) and promise of future leadership in the field. Jalan was selected for this prestigious award by the International Advisory Committee of the International Conference on MBE for excellence and international leadership in his use of metal-organic molecular beam epitaxy to synthesize and understand complex oxide heterostructures in pursuit of new electronic materials.
