Jalan wins American Association for Crystal Growth Young Scientist Award

June 15, 2017 - Assistant Professor Bharat Jalan has been selected as a recipient of the American Association for Crystal Growth Young Scientist Award, which will be presented to him at the upcoming 21st American Conference on Crystal Growth and Epitaxy (ACCGE-21) to be held in Santa Fe, New Mexico on July 30-August 4, 2017. The AACG Young Scientist Award is given to an early career scientist working in the fields of crystal growth research, development, practice, theory, modeling, characterization, application or production to recognize his or her outstanding scientific and technical contributions in the field of crystal growth. Jalan was selected for the award based on his scientific excellence, clarity of presentation and impact on the field of crystal growth. As an award winner, Jalan will present a plenary talk at the conference and receive a monetary award, complimentary conference registration and a plaque commemorating this award.
