Jan. 16, 2020 - The CEMS Centennial & Jubilee celebration continues with this special evening lecture on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. featuring distinguished alumnus Nick Halla (ChE ’05), Senior Vice President of International at Impossible Foods. Nick will present "The Impossible Foods Story: Creating a Delicious Global Movement to Save Our Planet" in Coffman Memorial Union Theater (doors open at 6 p.m.).

Nick will discuss his journey from a Minnesota farm to being the first employee at Impossible Foods taking numerous leadership roles in building Impossible from the ground up, including his current role being responsible for the company’s growing presence around the world. In his roles at Impossible Foods, Nick has helped tackle one of the most important technological and scientific challenges of our lifetime: to make the world’s most delicious, nutritious, affordable and sustainable meat, fish and dairy foods directly from plants, using a tiny fraction of the resources required for meat from animals.
