- Regents Professor Timothy Lodge has received the 2018 Paul J. Flory Polymer Education Award from the American Chemical Society (ACS) Division of Polymer Chemistry, honored for his outstanding achievements in promoting undergraduate and graduate polymer education. He will receive this award at the ACS National Meeting in New Orleans in March 2018, and will participate in a half-day symposium.
Lodge, who holds appointments in both the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Chemical Engineering & Materials science, is one of the University's most distinguished professors. He has mentored more than 160 undergraduate and graduate students in his research laboratory, and taught more than 30 undergraduate and graduate courses in polymer science. Lodge is also co-author of Polymer Chemistry, a highly regarded textbook in the field.
