- CEMS graduate student Abhiram Muralidhar won a $1,500 travel award as the grand prize winner in the Physical Sciences and Engineering category as part of the 2015 Research Exhibition sponsored by the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute (MSI) at the University of Minnesota. His winning research poster, "Equilibrium properties of DNA confined in nanochannels: A Monte Carlo chain growth approach" was co-authored by Professor Kevin D. Dorfman.
The MSI Research Exhibition is an annual judged poster session, and this year, 90 posters were presented by MSI researchers. The posters were judged by a panel of MSI faculty Principal Investigators, who selected three finalists in each of two categories, Biological and Medical Sciences, and Physics Sciences and Engineering.
