McCann receives CEMS Women's Group Travel Award

March 16, 2018 - Meghan McCann, a fourth year graduate student in Professor Wei-Shou Hu's research group, has been selected to receive the inaugural CEMS Women's Group Travel Award. McCann will use the financial award of $1,100 to attend the Cell Culture Engineering conference in Tampa, Florida in May 2018. The conference is an invitation-only event that encourages interaction between academia, industry, and regulatory agencies in the field of animal cell culture science and engineering. The CEMS Women's Travel Award, available to all students, supports applications that benefit the mission of diversity and inclusion in the department and enables participation in conferences or events that benefit future career paths, such as those in safety and regulation, scientific writing or education.
